Firstly we have to prepare and clear away any obstructions and make the area safe for health and safety reasons
Green Leas Lowerschool
Niche blinds were given a remit to fit 2 fully cassetted awnings in its open area to provide a shaded solution for its children when they were playing outside in the tarmac area. Each awning was to work fully motorised and be able to project to a 3100mm projection
Preparing for drilling
Once the walls have been measured and the exact dimensions taken, we now begin to drill for the spreader plates to take the weight of the awning
Unpacking the product
We only use products that are well packed and securely wrapped, nothing worse than trying to install products that have damaged in transportation
Spreader Plate installation
using an SDS drill, making sure the plate is level and secure we now begin to fit the plates securely into the brickworks 2 compound layers
Spreader Plate installation
Using bolts 5 inches long and size 14 screws, these are hidden by the round plugs and hold the solid steel plates in place. These plates can be powder coated in white or brown
Preparing for the awning
Once the plates have been installed - we clear the site of packaging and tools and begin to get ready for the installation of the awning
Installation of the electrics
Now that the awning has been secured, we now have to drill into the walls of the school to connect the awning motor lead up to the mains supply
Completion of the awning installation
Once installed the awning is put through a rigourous testing stage for smooth operation and to make sure there are no problems with the arms of wiring
Finale
Now the awning meets our stringent checks, the final check is to make sure the awning is horizontal on the projected arm and to make sure that the installation looks as professional as the brochure it was purchased from
